Discover the tricks of the trade in a fun and informative workshop. Perfect for Valentine's Day or Easter.
Using step by step techniques you will learn the skills to design your own decorative cupcakes.
A range of techniques from elementary to advanced will be shown; how to work with a piping bag and different piping tips, how to tint buttercream and colour marzipan. You will be taught how to model marzipan
flowers, create your own sprinkles and add glitter and sparkles.
All the cupcakes, buttercream and equipment are provided, including the recipes and notes on professional baking.
At the end of the workshop you will take away a box of your own decorated
cupcakes
Janine Rose
Janine Rose specialises in beautiful decorative cakes and in addition to teaching cake decorating, provides a bespoke wedding and celebration cake service.
She established her business in 2005 supplying clients such as Rick Stein, Selfridges, GAIL's Bakery and Eurostar and the cake classes have been a successful addition since 2009
Janine Rose cakes have been featured in You and Your Wedding, For the Bride, The Times and OK magazine.
A textile designer before becoming a pastry chef and have combined a love of baking with design to produce cakes that look fresh and contemporary. Janine is influenced from current trends in pattern and colour for the decoration of the cakes creating a unique and individual style to cake decorating.
Janine Rose concentrates on bespoke cakes and providing fun and informative classes in cake decoration.

Equipment For Cupcakes
- Disposable plastic Piping bags 12inch (use to pipe buttercream)
- Piping Tip - Wilton #1M large star
- Piping Tip - Wilton #21 open star
- Small Parchment piping bags (for use with royal icing and precision piping)
- Small rolling pin
- Gel colours
- Edible glitter
- Cutters: Heart, Blossom and Star plunger sets
- Small mixing bowls (use to mix up different buttercream/royal icing colours)
- Small straight 8inch palette knife (good for mixing and general use)
- Cocktail Sticks (for dipping shapes into glitter and adding gel colours)
- Marzipan (once opened keep in plastic bag and airtight container)
- Regal Ice (once opened keep in plastic bag and airtight container)
- Icing sugar (dust surface for rolling out marzipan/regal ice)
- All equipment is provided for the course and is also available for purchase.
